Key West / Farewell Marathon

Mr Manatee, and a huge fella at
that, took a liking to a few drops of water dripping, spent best part of 30 minutes under
the boardwalk.
Yes, we made it to Key West, fortunately the tourist
crowd had thinned out with only one Cruise ship in port

This Antique and fine Art store
had the most amazing display of
sculptures, although just a little
out of my price range.

Some grand homes on this little Island, fun
during Hurricanes no doubt

Gardens in some of the private homes were lush.

Great Airline, pity it
went the same way as Anset
in Australia
Tree lined streets

She reminded me of my Mum.

Start of US 1

Our Tourist shot

Outside Hemmingway's ex home

Outside photo, at $52 for the 4 of us to walk through
decided to spend it elsewhere.

THE Tourist Photo, the Southern Most
part of the USA ,there is a queue to have
a photo taken, so we photo'd some one
else, I think they were Cubans getting
close to home.

A Key Deer

A Polaris I think

Sorry Steve M, a dying Merc Coupe.

Leaving Marathon to travel up the
Inland waterway to a Jump of point for the Bahamas.
Cant seem to shake the crazy boaters

Dawn enjoying the Dolphins,
we were in 10 ft of Crystal
clear water, so they could
be seen from top to bottom.
Peaceful

A big Tiki Hut, I believe Jammin Jane
is tying up here tonight.
We leave for the Bahamas in the morning, Wed 13th April, a 54 mile trip over the Gulf Stream.
The Forecast for the trip is reasonable but the longer outlook is stormy. I rang the Dockmaster
at Browns Marina to see if we could stay longer, "No trouble Mon, we wont make you leave
once you are here", and at $1.25 a foot we will stay longer. Patriot hopes to meet us there.
